Vegetable Fried Rice

With the chicken curry I made fried rice. Here’s how I made it. You can add more vegetables or more spices if you like it spicy.

2 Carrots chopped
4 Mushrooms sliced
1.5 Cups Basmati Rice

3 Cups water

1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala

1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder

1 Teaspoon Paprika

1 Teaspoon Turmeric
1/2 onion chopped
1 Spoon chopped ginger

1 spoon chopped garlic


Salt to taste

Clean your rice and soak in water for about 25 minutes.

I had some carrots and mushrooms in the fridge so I chopped up the carrots into half inch cubes and started sauteing the onions, ginger, garlic, and carrots. Once that was done I added the mushrooms and sauteed that. Drain the rice and add it to the pan. Next add the spices and salt. Add the rest of the water and cook until rice is done. Make sure the lid is on while this is being done. It takes around 25 minutes or so.
